SEO – Super, Excellent, Outstanding Way Of Getting Traffic To Your Site?

OK so the premise here, as it is for all Internet Marketing, is that if people can’t find your site Search Engine Optimisation SEO Wiganthen what’s the point of having it? Maybe you have a simple brochure site that lets people know that you’re out there, or perhaps you are the captain of an e-commerce conglomerate. Regardless, the way that we now find people, services or buy things has changed. If your target audience are unable to find you or unaware that you exist that that’s bad news for business!

Right so you’ve got your lovely site, it’s got a great design, nifty code and a fantastic user experience –  now it’s time to get it working for you, and we believe that Search Engine Optimisation SEO is a great way to do this. So, other than the obvious ‘getting traffic to your site’, what are the benefits of SEO and why should you consider SEO as part of your businesses long term marketing strategy?

  1. Results are free! Unlike with PPC advertising you are not paying for each and every time that someone clicks onto your site, regardless of whether it leads to a sale or not. All you are paying for is the SEO not the result, so one sale or a thousand all costs the same.
  2. Great conversion rates The stats don’t lie, and they say that you have a doubled click to sale conversion rate from organic search, rather than from PPC, and who are we to argue!
  3. Great ROI If you’ve got a great agency that is getting you some great SEO results, then chances are that you are already a happy bunny. And once you discover that to get similar results from other forms of online advertising you’d be paying more, I guess you’d be an even happier bunny?!
  4. Increased brand awareness People trust Google, and so the higher your name is, the more likely it is that people are going to click through to your site. Not only that, but the more times people see your name on that venerated top page, then the more their subconscious is going to remember it and equate it with quality.
  5. Quality over quantity SEO results in people finding the sites that are the most relevant to their search term, and so are more likely to convert that click into a sale. There’s no point in having a huge number of visitors to your site, if none of them are buying.
  6. Results can be permanent Once you’ve got a great site, that is well optimised and is getting results, then all you need to do is ensure that a little maintenance is carried out and that your site continues to do what you are already doing so well. Your results are never 100% guaranteed but you can allow yourself a little peace of mind.

Also here at 3W Consulting, we believe that SEO is not about tricks and ways of fooling the search engines, but it is a way of making sure that your website is delivering what people want, so that Google (or generic other) is going to associate your site with the particular search term. There are agencies out there that will use seriously unethical black or grey hat techniques to do things like flood your site with invisible keywords. This might get you a short term result, but in the long term Google (like the bookies) always wins, and you can end up irrevocably damaging your brand. Instead of this we believe in simply providing great SEO that is responsive to search algorithms and creating great websites that the search engines want to find.

One of the first methods that people use when looking for goods or services is to ‘Google it’ (other search engines are obviously available!). SEO works to improve your website’s ranking for certain search terms that are related to your business. For example, builders in Birmingham would want to try and get onto the first page of results if someone searches for ‘Birmingham builders’. This process can sometimes take a little time to show results but the benefits of successful SEO can be significant.

Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) PPC Services Wigan

PPC ads are displayed at the top or in the sidebar of search engine results for relevant terms. They can also be displayed on relevant websites or on social media. They can be highly targeted and you simply pay per click every time somebody clicks the Ad. The cost of these clicks are determined by an auction process and will vary depending on the competitiveness of the chosen keywords. You can run these campaign yourselves, but it is worth considering your PPC campaign carefully as it can result in a lot of money being spent for no result. But fear not, a properly curated and targeted PPC operation can provide seriously fast, effective and traceable results.

Social Media MarketingSocial Media Marketing Wigan

This can be a highly effective means of reaching your target audience, through a medium in which they are already engaged. Social media ads can be targeted at certain demographics, geographical locations and even interests. For example a wedding services company may wish to target their ads at female users, aged between 18-40, whose status is ‘Engaged’ and who live within a 20 mile radius of their location. One of the really great features of social media advertising is that your involvement does not have to end once your ad launches. In fact being active on social media will build your brand recognition and can often be the hook that turns passive interest into active leads.

These are just some of the digital marketing methods that could benefit your business. Effective results can also be gained from methods such as email marketing campaigns, banner ads and video marketing via sites such as YouTube – we will be exploring these further in future articles. However, if you want to find out more about how to get the most from your online presence then contact us today. We provide a free consultation whereby we will review your online presence and advise you on the various options available.

What Is An SEO Campaign & Why Is SEO Important?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the position of a website in a SEO Services Imagesearch engine’s results when users search for specific terms. In short if you sell blue children’s bikes you want your website to appear on the first page of search results when someone searches for ‘blue children’s bike’ in Google – because let’s face it, who uses search engines other than Google and who ever bothers to look past the first page of results?!

Although the premise is simple, the actuality of achieving great SEO for a website rarely is. The complex algorithms that work behind the scenes when someone enters a search term into Google are not only incredibly intricate and sophisticated, but they are also almost constantly changing. This means that SEO can be a seriously hard process to master. SEO also won’t give you the instant results that things like Pay Per Click advertising will. So why should you bother investing your money into a decent SEO campaign? Basically, why is SEO important?

SEO Is Good For Your Business Branding and Visibility

Not only do you want to get your website to the top of the results for search terms that are directly related to you because it means that users will click through to your website and hopefully become customers, but there is intrinsic value in simply appearing in that list. In many cases users will search for several terms (each time refining their search) before choosing a link to click. If your site appears time and time again in these search results, users are likely to build up trust and place value in your website before they have even clicked on it.

SEO Brings Your Website Traffic

Even if not every person who clicks on your website becomes a solid customer or client (which let’s face it, they won’t), the law of averages states that the more people come to your website, the more will become customers.

SEO Makes Your Website Great

Not only do SEO techniques help get people to your website in the first place, they also help to ensure that your website is in great shape when they get there, thus meaning that they will be more likely to convert into customers. Well built websites with clear site maps and engaging content are loved by both Google and users alike.

SEO Provides A Great Return On Investment

It may take a while for you to start to see the results of a great SEO campaign, but once you do you will usually find that SEO gives you a great ROI. This is because you are marketing your products or services to people when they are actually looking for them, rather than trying to force your brand onto them when they are doing something else e.g. checking social media, watching TV or reading the paper.
